About NRDBP

During the porting process, it is necessary for information to be exchanged between the Donor provider and the Recipient provider. In addition, after the successful porting of a number to a new provider (the Recipient provider) all other providers must be informed so as to correctly route the number. For this reason, the National Reference Database of Portability (NRDBP) was created and functions as the central and unique point of information exchange among the providers for the number portability processes.

NRDBP started operation in 2004 and its proper and orderly operation is supervised by the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT).
