{"id":71,"date":"2014-05-30T12:28:27","date_gmt":"2014-05-30T09:28:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/.\/?page_id=71"},"modified":"2023-07-12T16:26:53","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T13:26:53","slug":"regulatory-framework","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.foritotita.gr\/?page_id=71&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"EETT &#8211; Regulatory Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">EETT &#8211; Regulatory Framework<\/h2>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0071ae;\">EETT (Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission)<\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EETT (Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission) is an independent authority that regulates, supervises and controls:<br \/>\n\u2022 The electronic communications market that includes companies that provide fixed and mobile telephony, Internet and wireless communication services.<br \/>\n\u2022 The postal market that includes companies that provide postal and courier services.<br \/>\nEETT also exercises the powers of a Competition Authority in the above markets.<\/p>\n<p>More information on the legal status, organization and responsibilities of \u0395\u0395\u03a4\u03a4 can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eett.gr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0071ae;\">Greek Regulatory Framework<\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EETT, the Regulatory Authority, which supervises and regulates telecommunications as well as the postal services market, is responsible for the regulation and supervision of the Number Portability service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The specific procedures and duties of the providers with regard to their obligation to provide portability services to the subscribers, are specified in the latest effective decision of EETT \u201cAmendment and Coding in a unified text of the Rules of Number Portability in the Greek Market\u201d <a title=\"https:\/\/www.eett.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ AP696-115.pdf.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eett.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/AP696-115.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(Regulatory Framework for Number Portability)<\/a>. Number Portability Regulation, sets the time intervals within which the porting process must be completed, the reasons why the Donor provider may reject a number portability application, as well as the rights of a subscriber.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0071ae;\">European Regulatory Framework<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Article 106 of the Directive (EU) <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A02018L1972-20181217\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018\/1972<\/a> of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 11 December 2018, on the establishment of the European Electronic Communications Code provides clear instructions for both the time limits of the number Portability process, and the maximum time for the loss of service, if any, during the portability process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Specifically, the Directive states that the number portability process should be implemented within one business day, after subscriber\u2019s application acceptance by the Donor provider, and any loss of service cannot exceed one working day.
